Our Founder | Juan Avila
Juan Avila, founder of Herencia, carries five generations of carving tradition with a modern eye. His mission: to preserve heritage through purposeful design.
With over 30 years of inherited artistry and engineering precision, Juan leads Herencia in honoring history through each handcrafted piece.

5 Generations, One Craft
Juan learned to carve alongside his father, carrying forward his family's Spanish lineage and European carving techniques before training as a civil engineer. He brought that inherited craft to Arizona, founding Herencia to build stories, legacies, and values into homes across the Southwest — including the one you're aiming to build.
